Statutory and Regulatory Relief During Emergencies Webconference

After the events of the 2009 influenza pandemic, Hurricane Irene, Superstorm Sandy and other emergencies, health care providers expressed a need for guidance on how to seek the suspension or modification of statutes and regulations during emergencies. LeadingAge New York was invited to work with the Department of Health (DOH) and other associations to develop guidance and assemble a list of potential statutory and regulatory barriers. Our colleagues at HANYS are graciously hosting a webinar in collaboration with us and the other associations to provide an overview of the process, and an opportunity to ask questions of content to experts at DOH. The webinar is scheduled for Dec. 15, 2014 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Registration is open to HANYS members and non-members. If you are not a HANYS member and need a username/password, please send an email to learning@hanys.org with your contact information including name, title and organization name/address. An account will be created and your username/password will be emailed to you. The deadline to register is this Fri., Dec. 12; click here to register. If you have questions regarding registration please contact Registration Support at learning@hanys.org or at (518) 431-7867.

The guidance and list of potential statutory and regulatory barriers are available here. Log-in instructions and program materials will be emailed to registrants on Fri., Dec. 12.
