Data Security and HIPAA in Assisted Living: Practical Tips about Compliance Security and Current Trends

NYSCAL, in conjunction with NYC DOHMH, is hosting a free webinar for all New York City Providers: Cyber (Data) Security & HIPAA in Assisted Living: Practical Tips about Compliance Security & Current Trends. Tues. Feb. 16, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Presented by: Kurt Bratten, ESQ., O’Connell & Aronowitz. 

This webinar will discuss the trends and increasing risks associated with data breaches experienced by businesses of all sizes and levels of sophistication, including assisted living and long term care facilities. With an emphasis on the most recently imposed requirements under the HIPAA Final Rule, this session will review how facilities are affected by the requirements of the HITECH Act and what facilities MUST DO to meet their obligations. This session will offer practical tips about data security and compliance. NYSCAL will provide CEUs for participation. Once you submit your registration, you will receive a confirmation email.
