ACFs Are Encouraged to Register for Upcoming CEMP Training

The New York State Department of Health (DOH) Office of Health Emergency Preparedness (OHEP) is providing training for adult care facilities (ACFs) to provide information and tools to develop a Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan (CEMP). The training is designed to help ACFs to prepare for, respond to, and recover from natural and manmade disasters.

The training is being offered free of charge thanks to the support of a federal grant. The trainings began early this month and will end in May. They are located in different parts of the state, with the exception of New York City (NYC); NYC ACFs will receive separate training, and those providers will receive a separate communication regarding those opportunities.

Attendees are encouraged to complete FEMA ICS-100.C, an online course, in advance of the session. ACF personnel that will be involved in facility-level emergency planning should attend.
