ACFs and Nursing Homes Must Review and Update Critical Asset Survey

The Department of Health (DOH) Office of Health Emergency Preparedness (OHEP) has alerted nursing homes, adult care facilities (ACFs), and hospitals that the Critical Asset Survey in the Health Electronic Response Data System (HERDS) has been reactivated for the 2020 review/update. DOH requires all such facilities to review and update the Critical Asset Survey by March 31, 2020.

In addition, such facilities in any of the five boroughs of New York City (NYC) must also review and update the Facility Evacuation Planning Application (FEPA). Click here to view the Dear Administrator Letter (DAL) that was sent to ACFs, nursing homes, and hospitals in NYC on Dec. 20, 2019. The DAL includes useful resources regarding the application as well as OHEP contacts that can assist you with any questions.
