DOH Issues Annual Warm Weather Advisory for ACFs

(April 14, 2026) The Department of Health (DOH) has issued its annual advisory to adult care facility (ACF) and assisted living providers regarding warm weather. The Dear Administrator Letter (DAL) reminds providers of regulatory requirements, steps to take in the warm weather, and resources regarding heat-related illness and information regarding medications that may cause additional sensitivities. Members are encouraged to review the DAL carefully.
