Valerie Deetz to Join SSI Audio Conference Presenter Panel
LeadingAge NY is pleased to announce that Valerie Deetz, Director of the New York State Department of Health (DOH) Division of Adult Care Facility and Assisted Living Surveillance, will join the panel of presenters on our June 20th audio conference, SSI and SSP for the Adult Care Facility Resident: What You Need to Know. Ms. Deetz will join representatives from the Social Security Administration (SSA) and the State Supplement Program (SSP) to provide an educational program regarding the Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefit for adult care facility (ACF) residents. This audio program is designed to assist ACF providers in understanding how the federal and state programs work together and how to assist residents in accessing and maintaining their benefits. Much of the session will address questions that LeadingAge NY members have submitted.
Members are reminded that we had to change the date of the program to June 20th from 10 to 11:30 a.m. due to a scheduling conflict for one of our speakers.
