DOH Issues EALR Q&As

The Department of Health (DOH) has issued a Dear Administrator Letter (DAL) providing Questions and Answers (Q&As) regarding the Enhanced Assisted Living Residence (EALR). This document stems from the DOH EALR Workgroup, which LeadingAge New York's Diane Darbyshire, and Adult Care Facility/Assisted Living Cabinet members Mike Seelig and Anne Dooley, participated in.  The group was convened to discuss questions that have come up as EALRs are gaining operational experience in the State. Please let us know if you have other questions or issues you would like us to work on regarding the Assisted Living Residence (ALR), Special Needs Assisted Living Residence (SNALR) or EALR.

Click here to view the DAL, and here to view the Q&A document. Both are also available on the Health Commerce System.
