ALP Transition into Managed Care Delayed Two Years

At the monthly Policy and Planning Meeting with the State’s Medicaid Managed Care plans last week, the Department of Health (DOH) announced that the transition of the assisted living program (ALP) into managed care and managed long term care (MLTC) has officially been delayed. The Department communicated to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) that they do not intend to proceed with the carve-in at this time but may revisit the issue in two years.
