Take Action

  • Urge U.S. Senate to Oppose Budget Reconciliation Bill

The Senate is considering legislation that would cut at least $800 billion in federal funding from the Medicaid program (the largest cut in American history). The budget bill would deeply harm older adults and the mission-driven, nonprofit providers who serve them, particularly in NY. Please click here to read more and urge Congress to reject the proposed budget bill!

  • Urge Congress to Protect Medicaid in 2025!

Congress is moving through the budget reconciliation process, which aims to reduce federal spending by approximately $1.5 trillion over the next 10 years. Given the significant amount of savings being sought, Medicaid is a highly likely source of cuts (potentially up to $880 billion). Write to your members of Congress today to urge them not to include Medicaid cuts or harmful changes as part of budget reconciliation bills or other legislation.
