HUD Examines Feasibility of National Evictions Database

A recent report submitted to Congress by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development's (HUD) Office of Policy Development and Research examines the feasibility of creating a national evictions database to collect information on formal court-ordered evictions, extra-legal evictions, and administrative evictions, including evictions of HUD-assisted households. The report considers potential approaches to developing such a database and recommends federal investment in direct data collection infrastructure at the state and local levels.

The report is available here, with more information available from LeadingAge National here.
