Welcome Sara Neitzel!

LeadingAge NY would like to welcome Sara Neitzel into the role of Senior Policy Analyst for Housing. Sara studied political science and earned her bachelor’s degree at the University at Albany, and continued her education at Albany Law School. She graduated from law school in May 2012, and was admitted to the State and Federal bars shortly thereafter. Since graduating, Sara has focused her career on trying to ensure that everyone who needs or wants it has decent, safe, and sanitary housing. Sara comes to us from the New York State Assembly, where she acted as Counsel for the Democratic Conference’s Committees on Housing and Aging. Working on the Housing and Aging Committees gave her unique insight into the world of senior housing. Before working at the Assembly, Sara worked at the Legal Aid Society of Northeastern New York, where she represented low income individuals who were in danger of losing their housing either due to eviction or foreclosure. Sara is thrilled to be joining LeadingAge NY, where she will continue to work toward providing decent, safe, and sanitary housing to those who need it.
