Public Affairs Council Meeting Scheduled for Dec. 15th

LeadingAge NY has scheduled the third meeting of its Public Affairs Council for this Thurs., Dec. 15th at 11 a.m. The Public Affairs Council is a group of public relations, communications, and government affairs professionals of LeadingAge NY member organizations. Its goal and intention is to allow for better communication and collaboration among LeadingAge NY and its members as we work together to educate the public and lawmakers about the importance and value of quality, mission-driven long term care and aging services.

During the meeting on Thursday, the Council will be discussing members' activities on pre-budget advocacy, the use and progress of social media PR tools, and whether there are any other messages we should be implementing in advance of the Executive Budget Proposal's release in late January. Below is an agenda for Thursday's meeting, as well as resources already available to members.

If you have not already done so, please ensure that you or a colleague in your organization has signed up to join the Public Affairs Council! Participation in the Council is a critical way to ensure that we are sending a well-coordinated, unified, and effective message to lawmakers and the general public. Sign-up is available here
