LeadingAge Celebrates National Workforce Development Month!
During the month of September, LeadingAge National is leading a National Workforce Development Month campaign to celebrate our dedicated aging services workforce and support its development through new resources. The National Workforce Development Month website offers several resources that LeadingAge members can use in celebrating our established, dedicated workforce and encouraging others to pursue careers in aging services. Materials being offered include social media posts, graphics, email signatures, talking points, print media resources, and much more!
LeadingAge NY members are strongly encouraged to join us in promoting the campaign throughout the month. Members can also submit stories on practical workforce innovations and highlight the dedicated work of caregiving professionals in your communities.
Additionally, don't forget that LeadingAge NY is hosting a social media contest throughout the month aimed at organically promoting careers in long term care. The #LoveThisCareerLTC Social Media Contest is running through Oct. 15th and offers cash prizes to LeadingAge NY and Adult Day Health Care Council member staff who post their own social media content highlighting long term care careers and what they love about working in aging services.
