SFY 2021-22 Executive Budget includes several provisions affecting LeadingAge NY members.

LeadingAge NY Executive VP Dan Heim will retire at the end of January after more than 30 years with the association.

Governor Cuomo delivered his second of four anticipated State of the State Addresses on Tues., Jan. 12^th. The four installments of the State of the State are being delivered virtually from the Capitol’s War Room.

The hour-long presentation and Q&A will provide members with an update on where we are in the State Budget process and what we can expect in the coming months. We will also be discussing LeadingAge NY’s 2021 advocacy strategy and how members can best connect with their lawmakers during this unprecedented time.

The 2020 Legislative Session drew to an unofficial close in July, though over the subsequent months, lawmakers held several hearings, continued to introduce new legislation, and ultimately held special sessions to address the housing eviction moratorium and virtual proceedings for 2021.
