Tip Sheets Now Available for Members Voicing Concern Regarding CMS' Proposed Medicare Enrollment Provisions & CY 2027 Home Health Rule

(Aug. 11, 2026) LeadingAge has made the following "Tip Sheet" resources available for members as they learn about and would like to register their concerns regarding proposed Medicare Enrollment provisions affecting all Medicare providers.  This proposal is contained within the 2027 Proposed Home Health Payment Rule.  All members are encouraged to review the resource to learn more about this concerning proposal.  Home Health members are also encouraged to review and utilize the second resource below to provide comment on the Home Health payment rule. 

National has a new Commenting Tip Sheet: Proposed Medicare Enrollment Provisions in CY 2027 Home Health Rule. To support members in developing comments on the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services’ (CMS) calendar year (CY) 2027 Home Health proposed rule (CMS-1844-P), LeadingAge has developed this resource focused on the substantial changes to Medicare enrollment for all provider types. These changes could impact provider enrollment in the Medicare program by expanding reasons CMS can revoke or deny enrollment. Additionally, the proposals add significant reporting burdens to providers by changing current definitions of affiliations and managing employee.

Nationals Tip Sheet for Comments on CY 2027 Home Health Payment Rule: In addition to changes to Medicare enrollment provisions for all provider types, the CY 2027 Home Health proposed rule included substantial changes to home health specifically. For comment guidance on that, please refer to a separate, published document, “Tips for Submitting Comments on CY 2027 Home Health Proposed Rule.” Comments are due August 31st.
