What ALPs Should Know About Transitioning to the UAS-NY

Last week, DOH presented an overview of the Assisted Living Program (ALP) rate crosswalk, explaining ALP billing changes when the program transitions to the Uniform Assessment System (UAS-NY) assessment tool. A recent New York State Medicaid Update provides ALPs with a crosswalk of how Medicaid billing will change with this transition. The crosswalk can be accessed here.

DOH began piloting the UAS-NY for ALPs and other providers March 1 in Broome, Chautauqua, Otsego and Warren counties; and plans to gradually implement the tool by region and program, with it being fully implemented by March 2014.
