Legislature Releases One-House Budget Priorities

The Assembly and Senate advanced their one-house budget priorities over the weekend and passed them yesterday. Highlights of the proposals of most importance to aging services providers can be found here. LeadingAge New York is very pleased that nearly all of the Association’s priorities are reflected in one or both of the one-house budget bills. This puts us in a very good position going into the final week of budget negotiations.

Joint Budget Conference Committees will be meeting to negotiate a final budget by next Thursday, March 21. This will be a key time for advocacy, so please keep an eye out for emails asking for you to engage with your legislators. All advocacy resources are available on our website.
