CMS FAQs Updated for the F2F Encounters and Therapy

On March 1, CMS posted updated Face-to-Face (F2F) Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) and Therapy FAQs to help guide providers regarding the new policy changes, including those related to the CY 2013 HHPPS.

The F2F FAQs include over 50 questions, including clarification on handling patients held for observation days, defining physician support staff and documentation for the CMS-485.

The 19 Therapy FAQs clarify how to handle multiple therapy disciplines situations, determining the end of therapy and related scenarios.
