DOH provided an update on managed care and LTHHCP issues during the MLTC Implementation Advisory call on Fri., June 7, and posted two new MLTC policies on LTHHCP, managed care and social day care services.

The long-anticipated Nursing Home Quality Improvement and Performance Improvement (QAPI) rollout has begun. Introductory tools, resources and videos are now available on the QAPI website. Information about the rollout will take place at the next SNF/LTC Open Door Forum on Thurs., June 13. 

Recently adopted regulations will affect all adult homes.

The LeadingAge New York Housing Cabinet met with New York HUD staff on June 4 to discuss operational, contracts, budget and reorganization issues.

At the June 6 Public Health and Health Planning Council (PHHPC) meeting, several new CHHAs were approved, existing CHHAs were approved to expand and several LTHHCPs were approved to convert into CHHAs.
