The letter urges the creation of a State-funded program that would allow more affordable independent senior housing properties to offer on-site, on-request Resident Assistance to help low-income older adults age safely in their home while keeping high-cost health care and long-term care spending in check.

The call, open to LeadingAge members in the HUD Northeast Region, will feature updates from the regional leadership team on staffing and workflows, HOTMA, inspection protocols, and more.

LeadingAge has urged HUD to restart the program and applauds HUD for moving forward to process the critical funding for affordable housing communities in climate-vulnerable areas.

Actions to ensure access to hospital care during the nurses strike may impact post-acute care providers.

Compliance letters covering the first quarter of 2024 may be posted as early as this week.

Spending plans are due Jan. 19^th.

Applicants for licensure or change in licensure should make note, as revised form is in effect now.
