CMS released interpretive guidance on the new Facility Assessment requirements that were incorporated in the Minimum Staffing Standards rule. The new requirements take effect on Aug. 8, 2024.

In a letter to CMS Administrator Brooks-LaSure, the association requested the reduction of COVID-related reporting requirements, aligning with the CDC's standard approach to COVID as a respiratory virus and its termination of hospital COVID reporting requirements.

All nursing home members are encouraged to take advantage of these extensive resources.
