We are pleased to report that $3 million has been recommended to support capital initiatives and 

supportive service development in affordable senior housing. LeadingAge New York has been working 

with the MRT Affordable Housing Work Group to ensure that some of this funding be made available to 

enable affordable housing to support seniors to age in place. At the Feb. 22 meeting in New York City, 

LeadingAge New York presented a strong case for Medicaid savings with some modest 

investments. We are very pleased that DOH included our program among its final allocation plan, and 

we will work to ensure that this funding is in the final budget agreement.
