ICYMI: New Home Health Trend Report Available in LeadingAge Report Portal

(May 27, 2025) LeadingAge National has announced its new Report Portal tool developed in collaboration with LeadingAge NY. Home health members can, for the first time, easily access valuable data from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to help assess quality improvement needs and inform strategic decision-making. Updated quarterly, this new report will display each of the home health publicly reported quality measures and compare the provider rates to other benchmark rates. Labeling will help providers navigate which measures are Outcome and Assessment Information Set (OASIS)-based or Claims-based and whether they are used in the Home Health Quality Reporting Program (QRP), Home Health Value-Based Purchasing (VBP), or the Quality of Patient Care Star Rating.

This LeadingAge benefit gives members easy access to publicly reported CMS nursing home, home health, and hospice data used by the agency to evaluate providers and inform consumers on specific quality measures, which are published on its Care Compare website. The exclusive LeadingAge reports ensure that members have relevant data that can help assess quality measures in various contexts (historical or in comparison to local competitors, for instance) and help take a data-informed approach to quality care and strategic decision-making. Use this tool to:

  • benchmark to inform quality improvement activities.
  • identify strengths and weaknesses for staff training.
  • inform board presentations and outreach to referral sources.
  • bolster payer/provider negotiations.
  • improve your organization’s star rating.
  • analyze your measurement in comparison to other organizations.
