DOH Delays LHCSA Statistical Reporting for ALPs

DOH issued a Dear Administrator Letter (DAL) announcing a delay in the due date for the statistical report for Licensed Home Care Services Agencies (LHCSAs) that are associated with an Assisted Living Program (ALP). The delay relates only to ALP LHCSAs.

LeadingAge New York has raised a concern with DOH that the ALP provides services in a very different way than the traditional community-based LHCSA, and the statistical report has not been able to capture the ALPs’ data in a meaningful way as a result. LeadingAge New York is very pleased that DOH is currently working on a new form which recognizes these differences.
