EVV Guidelines Updated
Home care agencies and fiscal intermediaries (FIs) required to carry out Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) pursuant to the federal 21st Century Cures Act should be aware of the most recent changes made to the New York State EVV Program Guidelines and Policy document on the Department of Health's (DOH) website.
Most recently, Section 5.10 of the program guidelines, 'Manual/paper timesheet entries,' has been updated to include new language regarding manual and edited entry approval requirements. Back in March 2021, the program guidelines were updated to require agency staff and caregivers submitting EVV data to complete minimum training requirements by Aug. 1, 2021.
