Minimum Wage Surveys Due Dec. 18th

We remind nursing homes, Medicaid Assisted Living Programs (ALPs), and hospice providers that their respective 2021 minimum wage surveys are due Fri., Dec. 18th. The surveys collect the projected impact of the next minimum wage increase scheduled for Dec. 31, 2020, when the minimum wage upstate will increase to $12.50 and the minimum wage in Westchester, Nassau, and Suffolk counties will increase to $14.00. Because the minimum wage has reached $15 in New York City (NYC), providers located exclusively in NYC should not complete the survey.

Providers outside of NYC that are not impacted by the increase may opt out by completing the general facility information questions and submitting the survey. All submissions need to include an attestation to the accuracy of the data using the form linked from the survey. Failure to complete the survey could impact the minimum wage funding.

For ALPs, the survey is here, and information is here. Please note that in addition to the 2021 survey, the Department of Health (DOH) has issued an ALP minimum wage reconciliation survey for 2017 through 2019, which is currently on hold pending further guidance.
