Creative for a Cause: Jewish Senior Life Hosts Art Sale for Alzheimer’s Association on The Longest Day Jewish Senior Life will be participating in The Longest Day on Wed., June 21st to raise funds and awareness for the care, support, and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association. The annual event sheds light on the darkness of Alzheimer’s and traditionally garners thousands of participants around the world who select an activity of their choice. This year’s event at Jewish Senior Life focuses on an art sale with items created by Jewish Home of Rochester residents and members of the organization’s Adult Day Health Care program.

A Life of Service: Edwin Cartoski Named Veteran of the Year On May 12th, surrounded by friends and family, 100-year-old World War II veteran and Korean War Marine aviator Edwin Cartoski was named Veteran of the Year for the 1st Senatorial District by State Senator Anthony Palumbo during a ceremony at Peconic Landing, where he has lived since 2016.
