Time is running out to register for the third webinar in LeadingAge NY and Corning Place Communications’ free social media training series! “Turbocharging Your Advocacy Efforts: Leveraging Social Media to Engage with Elected Officials” will be held tomorrow, Wed., Jan. 24th, from 12 to 12:30 pm. With budget season upon us, this is sure to be a very valuable and timely presentation. Click here to sign up.

This session will cover:

  • How to directly engage with elected officials on Twitter and Facebook;
  • Empowering your community to amplify your advocacy efforts; and
  • A live Twitter advocacy exercise.

As with the previous installments, tomorrow's webinar will be recorded and sent to registrants in advance of our final session, which will take place next Wed., Jan. 31st from 12 to 12:30 pm. Click here for a recording of our most recent session, “Putting Your New Tools to Work: Tips on Building, Engaging, and Empowering Your Community of Followers,” which addressed how to build a community of social media followers, the importance of establishing your “voice,” and how to engage with your followers through content and conversation. A recording of our introductory session, “Adding New Tools to Your Advocacy and Marketing Toolbox: An Introduction to Twitter and Facebook,” is available here.
