Urge U.S. Senate to Oppose Budget Reconciliation Bill
The Senate is considering legislation that would cut at least $800 billion in federal funding from the Medicaid program (the largest cut in American history). The budget bill would deeply harm older adults and the mission-driven, nonprofit providers who serve them, particularly in NY. Urge Congress to Protect Medicaid in 2025!
Congress is moving through the budget reconciliation process, which aims to reduce federal spending by approximately $1.5 trillion over the next 10 years. Given the significant amount of savings being sought, Medicaid is a highly likely source of cuts (potentially up to $880 billion). Write to your members of Congress today to urge them not to include Medicaid cuts or harmful changes as part of budget reconciliation bills or other legislation.
