LeadingAge NY Files Suit Challenging Minimum Nursing Hours and Minimum Spending Requirements Joined by approximately 80 of its nursing home members, LeadingAge NY has filed a petition seeking a preliminary and permanent injunction to prevent the enforcement of the minimum nursing hours requirements and minimum direct care spending requirements.

State's Minimum Nursing Home Staffing Standards Take Effect Despite Statewide Health Care Staffing Emergency The Governor extended the health care staffing emergency, but lifted the freeze on enforcement of nursing home staffing mandates. As a result, certain staffing flexibilities were continued, but nurse and aide minimum staffing levels took effect on April 1st. LeadingAge NY is providing members with resources to respond to the requirements.
