CMS Announces Pilot Opportunity for Medicare COVID-19 Vaccination Data Sharing with Medicaid MCOs
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) is launching a Medicare COVID-19 Vaccination Data for Medicaid Managed Care Organizations (MCOs) pilot. Through this pilot, CMS aims to support equitable vaccinations by enabling Medicaid MCOs to provide additional services and support dually eligible beneficiaries. Selected Medicaid MCOs will have the opportunity to request certain dually eligible beneficiaries’ Medicare COVID-19 vaccination claims data on a weekly basis. The pilot is open to a maximum of 20 Medicaid MCOs that enroll dually eligible beneficiaries.
