Register for Advocacy Day 2020

ADHCC invites you to participate in our 2020 Advocacy Day, to be held Tues., Feb. 4th in Albany. Advocacy Day provides an opportunity for ADHCC members to come together and meet with their state lawmakers face-to-face during one of the most important times of the year – budget season. We anticipate Method 1 transportation to be on the chopping block as well as many changes to managed care and cuts to Medicaid. It’s important for legislators to hear how these cuts impact your registrants.

Once you’ve registered for Advocacy Day, make sure to reach out to your legislators to schedule meetings in Albany. You can find your lawmaker and their contact information here. Once your meetings are scheduled, please forward your meeting details to Drue Pamadora at dbarton@leadingageny.org. If you need help scheduling your meetings, contact Drue.

Materials including issue briefs, talking points, and other information, will be distributed beforehand. These will be developed based on the proposals included in the Governor’s Budget to be released mid-January.

Lastly, ADHCC staff are happy to help you prepare for the big day. Please reach out if you have questions, if you’d like to coordinate meetings with other providers in your area, or if you’d like to strategize which lawmakers from your region you should reach out to for a meeting. We are also happy to attend the meetings with you.
