UAS-NY Assessors Must Complete Three New, Required Training Courses by Aug. 12th

The Uniform Assessment System for New York (UAS-NY) recently updated required training courses to address the processing changes that users will experience working in the UAS-NY release of version 1.6. In an email to providers, the Department of Health (DOH) indicated that courses that are affected by the new training content will be moved from Recommended to Required courses and updated to read "Not Complete."

Note: LeadingAge NY has learned that course 1300 is incorrectly marked as "Complete" in the Training Environment. DOH recognized the glitch in the system and maintains that all three courses must be completed by Aug. 12th.

Courses with new/revised content include the following:

  • 1100 UAS-NY Interface
  • 1250 Indicating a Program or Plan Enrollment
  • 1300 Using the UAS-NY to Conduct Assessments

DOH communicates that users who do not complete 1100, 1250, and 1300 new training by the deadline will not be able to access the UAS-NY. If you experience any difficulty accessing the new training modules, please notify LeadingAge NY or the Adult Day Health Care Council (ADHCC) or contact the UAS-NY Support Desk at uasny@health.ny.gov or 518-408-1021.
