Registration Open: Join ADHCC for ADHC Director and Staff Training
(March 24, 2026) The Adult Day Health Care Council (ADHCC) is holding its annual Director and Staff Training in two formats this year. We hope you can join us for either our in-person or virtual training.
ADHCC’s Adult Day Health Care (ADHC) Director and Staff Training is designed exclusively for ADHC directors and staff to leave informed and better at what you do. It will help you deliver care more efficiently, prepare your program for survey, and help you focus on what is important: building your census, complying with ADHC regulation, and providing quality care. It is worth your time and important to your ADHC business.

Virtual Training: May 13th and 14th, 9 a.m.-12 p.m., via Zoom – REGISTER HERE
New directors and staff, as well as longstanding ADHC program leaders and staff members, will learn new ideas to take back to your program. The program will be in a presentation format with opportunity for questions and frank discussion. There will be plenty of discussion and questions and answers throughout the program, so bring your questions, concerns, and ideas to this training.
The training is designed to help ADHC staff develop and implement stronger policies and procedures and address problems and issues of concern with best practices and thoughtful processes leading to better quality care and a more efficient program for both staff and registrants. Meg Everett, ADHCC Executive Director, and Gail Weinstein, LeadingAge NY ProCare Consultant, will be providing the training.
Please note: If there is unusually low registration for the in-person option, ADHCC will cancel that and hold just the virtual option.
The presentation will include a deep dive into the following topics:
- ADHC Part 425 and 415 (nursing home) – regulatory requirements;
- Comprehensive overview of Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) Rule policies, procedures, and responsibilities;
- Department of Health (DOH) survey process and requirements;
- Operational requirements, best practices, and their timing;
- Motivating, leading, supporting, and getting the most out of your staff;
- Best practices for documentation;
- Census building and referral sources; and
- Answers to Frequently Asked Questions, including those not readily apparent in regulation and guidance.
