Be Prepared: Respiratory Illnesses and Infection Prevention and Control Webinar

On Jan. 25, 2024 from 1-2:30 p.m., the Greater NY Health Care Facilities Association (GNYHCFA) will present a webinar with Dr. Dallas Nelson regarding currently circulating respiratory illnesses impacting skilled nursing facilities (SNFs), including COVID-19, influenza, and respiratory syncytial virus (RSV). Dr. Nelson will discuss recommendations for response and management of respiratory illness in the SNF setting. Joining her will be Mary Gracey-White and Arlette Drigpaul, presenting on infection prevention and control updates including implementation of best practices to improve outcomes and infection control survey citations. Dr. Nelson and GNYHCFA staff participate in the NY Medical Directors Association (NYMDA) COVID-19 Resource Project. The link to register for this webinar can be found here. National Association of Long Term Care Administrator Boards (NAB) continuing education units (CEUs) are available for administrators. Directors of nursing (DONs), medical directors, infection preventionists, social workers, Minimum Data Set (MDS) coordinators, and interdisciplinary team members are also encouraged to attend.
