DOH, Surrogate Decision-Making Committee to present webinar on Thurs., March 28^th from 12-1 p.m.

Researchers from the NYU Rory Meyers College of Nursing are testing the IN-HOME survey in a diverse nationwide sample of 150 persons living with dementia in nursing homes who meet eligibility criteria and 150 family care partners, with the goal of identifying supportive measures to help older adults maintain everyday community living.

The free event – hosted by NCOA, ACL, HRSA, and SAMHSA – will focus on how to best meet the mental health needs of older adults.

Nursing home and ACF members are encouraged to take advantage of these valuable resources.

The University of Rochester Medical Center is offering a free Geriatric Mental Health ECHO for all nursing homes statewide and telepsychiatry and nursing support for nursing homes that admit psychiatric center patients, with support from the NYS Office of Mental Health.

HCS Coordinators encouraged to enroll in new training course on DOH LMS.
