New Date for CHHA Cost Report
Last week, LeadingAge NY reported on the 2016 Medicaid Cost Report due dates for all non-hospital based Certified Home Health Agencies (CHHAs). On May 24th, the Department of Health (DOH) sent an email notification entitled "CHHA 2016 Cost Report due date correction." In the email, DOH stated:
“This email is to notify all non-hospital based certified home health agencies that the due date for the 2016 CHHA cost report will be August 15, 2017, not July 15, 2017 as previously noted in the Dear Administrator letter dated May 17, 2017. Please note that the operator and CPA certifications will also be due on August 15, 2017.
It is important to note that the Bureau has transmitted this e-mail directly to the address provided in the most recent completed cost report for the agency's Operator or Chief Administrative Officer to ensure proper official notification. Please ensure that your appropriate staff with HCS access are notified that the cost report software is available on the HCS site and that they provide to you a copy of the Dear Administrator letter noted above.”
