HHS Announces End of COVID-19 HIPAA Flexibilities for Telehealth

The HIPAA enforcement discretion for non-compliant telehealth platforms during the COVID-19 PHE will expire on May 11, 2023, but providers will have a 90-day transition period to come into compliance before HHS will begin to impose penalties for non-compliance.

The Adult Day Health Care Council (ADHCC) represents 130 medical model adult day health care (ADHC) programs, more than 90 percent of ADHC programs operating across New York State. ADHCC members serve more than 10,000 New Yorkers annually. We are the only organization that speaks exclusively for ADHC providers; we are dedicated to the continuation and expansion of adult day health care in an effort to meet the needs of the frail elderly, chronically ill, disabled adults and their caregivers.
