Adult Day Health Care Council Update: CMS Rescinds Memo Limiting Uses of COVID-19 Rapid Antigen Tests: CMS has rescinded QSO 22-25-CLIA, issued on Sept. 26, 2022, which had limited the use of COVID-19 rapid antigen tests for testing asymptomatic individuals to the scope of the EUAs. As a result, providers with limited service lab registrations in New York State may continue to use any COVID-19 rapid antigen test with an EUA to test asymptomatic individuals.

Adult Day Health Care Council CDC Updates COVID-19 Recommendations for Health Care Settings: The CDC has issued updates to its COVID-19 infection prevention guidance for health care personnel and guidance for managing exposed and infected health care personnel. It has also retired its nursing home-specific infection prevention guidance and incorporated guidance for nursing homes into the more general guidance. In addition, CMS has updated its nursing home visitation guidance and testing guidance to align with the CDC guidance.

ADHCC members serve more than 10,000 New Yorkers annually.
