Plan-WIO Workforce Initiative Agreement Submission
Managed Long Term Care (MLTC) plans participating in the Long Term Care Workforce Investment Program (WIP) need to enter into agreements with Workforce Investment Organizations (WIOs) and submit those agreements to the Department of Health (DOH) for review. Submissions were initially due Jan. 26th, but DOH has extended the deadline until the close of business on Feb. 2nd.
Sample agreement language and a document outlining roles and responsibilities of each party are available here. DOH reminds that the sample agreement document should not be considered a template, but an outline which includes the essential elements that should be incorporated in WIO-Plan agreements. However, a two-page document demonstrating the WIO-Plan partnership's capacity and approach to support value-based payment (VBP) goals is considered part of the agreement and must be included for a WIO-Plan partnership to be considered. The agreements should be submitted by email to MLTCWorkforce@health.ny.gov.
