LeadingAge NY Partners to Offer Senior Housing Symposium

LeadingAge NY is partnering with the New York State Association for Affordable Housing (NYSAFAH), Enterprise Community Partners and the Supportive Housing Network of New York (SHNNY) for a senior housing symposium featuring two 75-minute workshops on financing senior housing development and rehabilitations, and on structuring supportive services for seniors.

The symposium will be held Thurs., Nov. 13 at 30 S. Pearl Street – Penthouse, in Albany, NY starting at 10 a.m.

Program details will be available Oct. 1.

With the baby boomers on the verge of exploding into retirement, there will be a growing need for affordable senior housing. Yet, with funding for the HUD Section 202 program being drastically reduced, and perhaps even eliminated, new models of senior housing financing with support services need to be developed.

Whether you are currently providing senior housing or are considering developing senior housing on your campus, this symposium will provide you with information and resources on financing housing in a changing funding landscape.
