ADVOCACY WIN! HUD Postpones Interim HOTMA Compliance Date
Following a LeadingAge-driven request to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), the agency agreed on Feb. 28th to postpone the interim Housing Opportunity Through Modernization Act (HOTMA) compliance date for Tenant Selection Plan (TSP) and Enterprise Income Verification (EIV) policy updates from March 31st to May 31, 2024. The full compliance date for HOTMA remains Jan. 1, 2025.
HUD’s Notice H 2024-04, titled “Revised Compliance Date: Updates to Tenant Selection Plan (TSP) and Enterprise Income Verification (EIV) Policies and Procedures,” extends the deadline for Multifamily Housing owners to update their TSP and EIV policies and procedures.
