Home Care Worker Wage Parity Forms Due March 1st

Mandatory Home Care Worker Wage Parity certification forms are due March 1st for Certified Home Health Agencies (CHHAs), Long Term Home Health Care Programs (LTHHCPs), and Managed Care Organizations (MCOs) that provide or arrange for aide services in New York City, Long Island, and Westchester. The forms certifying compliance must be submitted via email to HCWorkerParity@health.ny.gov. They are annual in nature and apply prospectively from March 1, 2018 through Feb. 28, 2019.

Licensed Home Care Services Agencies (LHCSAs) and Fiscal Intermediaries (for Consumer Directed Personal Assistance Services) are also required to submit Wage Parity certification forms by March 1st. They are required to submit their forms to the CHHAs, MCOs, and LTHHCPs with which they contract, not the Department of Health (DOH). This is a quarterly certification requirement and applies prospectively from March 1, 2018 through May 31, 2018.

DOH has posted the certification forms here. Additional information on the State’s Home Care Worker Wage Parity law can be found on DOH's Wage Parity website. The Wage Parity law and its certification requirement applies only to New York City, Long Island, and Westchester County.
