DOH Releases the QIVAPP Awards

The Department of Health (DOH) shared with LeadingAge New York the final Quality Incentive Vital Access Provider Pool (QIVAPP) list of awards to home care providers per managed long term care plans; for the timeframe of April 1, 2014 – March 31, 2015. Included in the list is a breakdown of:

- plans;

- home care providers;

- prior state share award that was paid;

- total new award;

- disqualified providers full amount to be recovered and;

- qualified providers reconciled award amount to be paid or recouped.

LeadingAge NY cannot share the entire list, if you would like to know the amount your agency is due or needs to have recouped, please contact me directly.

We have asked DOH several questions. The first question was, when will the funds be released and DOH responded within a month. Other questions included the process for recouping funds, funds available after March 2015 and whether funds will be available for home care providers also impacted by wage parity in Nassau, Suffolk and Westchester counties. As a reminder, this funding only applies to home care providers subject to the Home Care Worker Wage Parity law  in New York City.

The QIVAPP program is outlined in a Dear Administrator Letter (DAL) posted in April 2014.
