DOH Appoints New Director of Quality and Surveillance for New Center for HCBS

The Department of Health (DOH) has appointed Millie Ferriter to the position of Director of Quality and Surveillance within the Office of Aging and Long-Term Care’s (OALTC) new Center for Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS).

The Department's communication on the appointment is below:

Millie brings a wealth of knowledge in areas such as the consumer-directed personal assistance program (CDPAP), nursing home transition and diversion Medicaid waiver program, and fiscal intermediary expertise. As the Director of HCBS Quality and Surveillance, Millie is dedicated to administering and leading our mission at OALTC, ensuring compliance, quality, training, and policy development to facilitate aging and older New Yorkers in living and receiving services within their community of choice. Some of you may already be acquainted with Millie, having served as a Board Member for the Home Care Association of New York State and the Montgomery County Office for the Aging.

I am confident that Millie will make significant contributions to our mission and vision, and I invite you to join me in extending a warm welcome to her. If you have any questions or wish to connect with Millie, please feel free to reach out to her at Mildred.Ferriter@health.ny.gov.

LeadingAge NY welcomes Ms. Ferriter to this position and looks forward to working with her.
