2014 Nursing Home Quality Scores Available to Public

DOH posted the 2014 Nursing Home Quality Initiative (NHQI) quintiles for each home on the DOH NHQI website, and facility-specific detailed data on the Health Data NY website. Nursing homes have been able to access their own results on the Health Commerce System since Wed., Feb. 25, 2015.  

Rate adjustment information related to the 2014 NHQI is not yet available, but amounts are expected to be similar in scope as those for 2013. Facility-specific rate adustments related to the 2013 NHQI are posted along with 2014 nursing home rates here. DOH expects to make 2013 NHQI Rate adjustments in March. Homes scoring in the fourth and fifth quintiles can expect a negative adjustment equaling approximately one percent of their Medicaid operating (capital exclusive) rate.
