Medicare FISS DDE Recertification Deadline – May 2nd!

National Government Services (NGS) has asked LeadingAge NY to remind our members that users of the Medicare online Fiscal Intermediary Standard System Direct Data Entry (FISS DDE) system must recertify on an annual basis, with a May 2nd deadline for 2014. NGS is concerned that a large number of providers have still not recertified.

The message from NGS:

“All users of FISS DDE are required to recertify their access to FISS DDE annually and this had to be completed by March 3, 2014.  However, we have quite a few providers who did not recertify and are in danger of having their access to FISS denied.  If this occurs, this will cause a major interruption in their Medicare cash flow.  We are doing all that we can to get this message out that they must recertify by May 2nd or access will begin to terminate thereafter.”

If you have already recertified, no further action is needed.

For more information and access to the recertification form please click herePlease note that the online form will only be available through May 1st.
