Upcoming National Provider Call

The Medicare Learning Network (MLN) scheduled a National Partnership to Improve Dementia Care in Nursing Homes and Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) call for Tues., March 10 from 1:30 p.m. 3 p.m. Registration is required and will close at 12 p.m., ET on the day of the call or when available space has been filled.

Subject matter experts will provide National Partnership updates and an overview of QAPI, as well as provide a presentation on Adverse Events in nursing homes. Additionally, Advancing Excellence will discuss their campaign for quality in America's nursing homes. A question and answer session will follow the presentations.

The presentation for this call will be posted at least one day in advance of the call on the MLN Connects™ National Provider Calls and Events websites. Select the call date and scroll to the "Call Materials" section to locate the slide presentation. A link to the audio recording and written transcript of this call will be posted under the "Call Materials" section approximately two weeks following the call.

The National Partnership was developed to improve dementia care in nursing homes through the use of individualized, comprehensive care approaches to reduce the use of unnecessary antipsychotic medications. QAPI standards expand the level and scope of quality activities to ensure that facilities continuously identify and correct quality deficiencies and sustain performance improvement.
