HUD Chooses 236 New York Properties for New HUD REAC Inspection Process

In January 2013, HUD’s Real Estate Assessment Center (REAC) launched the latest upgrades to the Physical Assessment Sub System (PASS), referred to as DCD 4.0, which incorporates years of recommended and negotiated improvements to the physical inspection protocol, from the dictionary of deficiency definitions, to a scoring cap on points lost to individual items.

As part of the implementation process, HUD completed an inspection “auction” in which 2,430 multifamily properties throughout the United States, including 236 New York properties, will be inspected using the DCD 4.0 software (RAPID).  The inspection period will last 120 calendar days starting on June19, 2013 and ending on Oct. 17, 2013.

Properties will be contacted by HUD to schedule an inspection.
