2015 HUD OCAF and Fair Market Rents Published

On Oct. 2, the Operational Cost Adjustment Factors (OCAFs) were published in the Federal Register. OCAFs are annual factors used to adjust Section 8 rents renewed under section 524 of the Multifamily Assisted Housing Reform and Affordability Act of 1997 (MAHRA).With a low of 1.4 in Michigan, and high of 2.8 in Louisiana, the national average is 2.1. New York’s OCAF will be 2.2. As in the past, the new factors are applicable for MAHRA renewals on or after Feb 11, 2015. To read the notice, click here.
